Ag Pesticide Pickup Day was held on September 26th. The event in co-sponored by the three Goshen County Conservation Districts, Goshen County Weed & Pest and the City of Torringotn. We collected 8000 pounds of e-waste (tv's computers and microwaves) and 11 drums of pesticde plus paint, batteries and other misc wastes.  The City of Torrington budgeted $15000 for collecting paint, e-waste and batteries. Clean Harbors from Denver was the company selected to dispose of the waste. The three Goshen County Districts received a $6000 grant from the NRCS sponsored by the RC&D Council this year. These funds were used for the Household and Ag Pesticide waste portion of the collection day. The total amount for the event was around $22,000.00.
